Theodore “Ted” Edwards, age 87, went to heaven on March 14, 2020. He grew up in Jacksonville also spending many happy days on a family farm near Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Edwards, his son and caregiver for the past four years, Welton Edwards; his daughter, Kim Cutlip (Richard); grandchildren, Chad Cutlip, Cory Cutlip, Tiffani Barrett and Tabitha Edwards, his six great grandchildren and his step children, Judy, Jon and Robert.
Ted retired from Amtrak and enjoyed serving his church, Promise Land Baptist Church, where he lovingly created a prayer garden. Known for his amazing gardening skills, it was often joked that he could make a popsicle stick grow! He loved to fish and have fun with his grandchildren. He had a beautiful voice, sang in several church choirs and many special events, including his daughter’s wedding.
We will honor Ted’s life with a service at 2:00pm March 18, 2020 in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 with Rev. Tommy Mallard officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
