Lillian Mary (Fowler) Baker 77, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 27, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in St Johns Newfoundland Canada on May 27, 1943 to Lillian Jessie Dawe and Gilbert Fowler. She met and married Allan Leroy Baker who was in the United States Navy and they were transferred to Jacksonville where they settled and raised their family. She worked as a waitress since the age of 13 years old. She was definitely one of the best in Jacksonville. She was married to the Love of her life for 52 years and she missed him dearly when he passed away in 2014. Her greatest joy was singing for the Lord with her family and serving him any way she could. Lillian will be remembered for her generosity and her kindness to all.
Survivors include her son David A. Baker Sr. (Lynita), daughter Lillian (Becky) Bui (Trac). 5 grandchildren Jennifer N Faber (Christopher), David A. Baker II (Jacqueline), Kevin M. Baker, Michael V. Bui and Miranda L. Bui. 6 great-grandchildren Braxten A. Baker, Garrett C. Blanton, Ellisyn B. Baker, Emelia K. Baker and Lillian L. Baker
Lillian was one of 19 children. Those left to mourn her loss are Ruby Lewis, Barb Moore, Cynthia Waddleton, Bob Taylor, Joyce Mercer, Fred Taylor, Betty Barre and many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 12:00pm at Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor Garry Wiggins officiating followed by interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32218 at 2:30pm where she will be laid to rest with her husband. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
