John Wilburn Pollard, Jr., age 92, passed away peacefully March 16, 2021. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He retired from the United States Marine Corp after serving our country for 21 years. He also retired from serving as Congressman Charles Bennett’s representative for the city of Jacksonville after 14 years. He was also a member of Westside Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching his Sunday School Class for many years.
John was preceded in death by his great grandson, Johnathan Marcopulos, and his loving wife of 57 years, Betty G. Pollard.
He will be forever missed by his family; three daughters, Donna Leigh Pollard, Sharon Lynn Pollard, Pamela Pollard Palmer (Mark); five grandchildren, Noel Carter (Jason), Mike Gaskin (Beth), Greg Huskey (Lenore), Dean Brown (Amy), Echo Moseley (Ben), and eighteen great grandchildren, Thomas, Taylor, Hannah, Cameron, Harmony, Gabbi, Candice, Holliday, Samantha, Gavin, Kaylee, Kyleigh, Luke, Emily, Skylar, Addison, Cooper and Hudson.
