Carl Clayton McGinley age 95 went home to be with the Lord May 6, 2021 He was born in Norfolk County, Virginia to William and Thelma McGinley on April 22,1926 Carl was a Patriot who loved His country and served in the U.S Navy. (World War II) where He received Several Medals for his services. in July 2019 He was honored with the WWII Victory Medal. Following his Service to Our Country His occupation was long distance truck driver. He was preceded in death by His Parents, several brothers and one sister. Carl is survived by his wife of 47 years Margaret McGinley and 1 sister Connie Currie, His Children, Carlye McGinley, Carl McGinley Jr. Gary McGinley, Larry McGinley (Beck) Annette Litzelman (Mike) Terry McGinley (Judy) Mary Parrish (Bobby) Carlton McGinley (Melissa) Becky Brown (Bob); 14 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren. Pall Bearers: Tyler Garrison, Scott McGinley, Daniel McGinley, David McGinley, Ray McGinley Adrian Brown, and Joseph Parrish The Family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday May 13th At Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Road, Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11am with Pastor Larry McGinley officiating. Interment at the National Cemetery
