Thank you Sir for your lengthy and distinguished service to our country as a member of the navy and as a member of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary. You will always be honorably remembered as a real life hero and patriot, public servant,, family man and devout Christian. You were the truest example of class, grace and dignity who seemed physically indefatigable with your many missions in life…a life well lived. Rest in peace my friend and enjoy your reward in heaven.

Although I only knew Marlin for a few of his 100 years I realized upon meeting him and Mrs. Crider that they were special folks. They were both great supporters of the Cecil Pines Car Show and we looked forward to their attending each year in his favorite Hudson. I especially appreciated Marlin’s bringing me a jar of his ‘home grown’ honey. I will always remember Marlin and his smile on December 7th each year. He will be greatly missed.
