Johnie Wayne Garrett was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Saviour on November 27th, 2021. Johnie was born on August 1,1941 in El Dorado, Arkansas; to John H. and Lois Garrett.
He grew up there and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1959.
That winter, he joined the U.S. Air Force. Upon graduating basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas, he was transferred to Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. Over the course of the next 4 years he would go to the Philippines and back stateside twice.
During that time he fell in love with computers and that would change his career path. In December 1967, he was honorably discharged from the military.
With the new career path in computers the family moved around, until he settled in San Antonio, Texas. Besides his love for computers he loved being outdoors. He always had a garden and loved sharing the fresh vegetables with friends and neighbors. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He was preceded in death by his wives; Crisanta Largo Habel and Marilyn Iva Garrett; his son Richard Wayne Garrett and his parents.
Johnie is survived by his daughters; Julie Ann Rainey (Cyrus), and Paula Diane Timms (J); 7 grandchildren (1 deceased), 5 great grandchildren (2 deceased) and 3 brothers.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday December 9th at Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida.

Additional services will be held in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Viewing at Bailey’s Funeral Home on Monday Dec. 13th at 12:00pm in El Dorado, Arkansas. Graveside service and interment at Arlington Memorial Park at 2:00pm
