Claude Jackson Spain Jr
Born; July 9th, 1936 in North Little Rock, Arkansas
Died; January 23rd, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida
Claude was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Claude Spain Sr and Ruth Jordan. He served in the United States Navy for 33 years and retired in 1985. He also retired from Brown and Williamson Company. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 65 years, Hazel (Curtis) Spain. Claude had a passion and great knowledge of nature. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed it with his son Claude III, a golfer, razorback and gator football fan that he enjoyed with his son in law Bob Nelson and a history enthusiast. Claude is also survived by his son Claude J Spain III, Kim Nelson and Kelly Hiers, his grandchildren Claude J Spain IV, Christopher Spain, Michael Nelson, Hannah Hiers and Hunter Hiers as well as 7 great grandchildren, his two sisters who reside in Little Rock, Elizabeth Edwards and Mary Catherine McGlothlin. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
