Betty Waldron Hodgson
HODGSON – Betty Waldron Hodgson, 83, died after multiple health issues on June 10, 2022. She was born on March 21, 1939 in Douglas, Georgia, the daughter of Banner and Alice (Harrel) Waldron.
She graduated from Coffee County High School. She married shortly after High School and moved to Jacksonville, Florida to raise their 3 boys.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by Brother, Billy Waldron; Brother, Elijah Waldron; Brother, Clyde Waldron; Brother, Banner Waldron, Jr.; Sister, Doris Phillips; and Son, Keith Hodgson. She is survived by Sister, Shirley McElroy; Son, Michael Hodgson; and Son, Richard Hodgson (Cathy). She has 2 granddaughters, Ashley Hodgson (Dean) and Amber Hodgson.
Betty loved the Lord and her 3 boys. She always put her family first and set an example that you must always work for what you have. She always wanted to keep moving and walked often until her declining health.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Fraser Funeral Home on Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville. A reception will be held directly after the service at Whitehouse Baptist Church Youth Building located at 24 Celery Avenue North, Jacksonville, FL 32220 . You can enter through the gate off of Beaver Street directly across the street from the Whitehouse Animal Hospital.
