Buddy Wayne Fortenberry age 79, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at home. He was born on November 13, 1942 to William and Lela Fortenberry in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Germany. He married his wife Linda on June 7, 1969 and had a daughter, Kimberly Leggett. He was self employed in the Amusement Music and Game Industry. He enjoyed whittling, collecting knives, watches and other unique items.
Buddy is survived by his wife Linda, a daughter, Kimberly Leggett (James),, a brother, Howard Fortenberry (Priscilla), 2 granddaughters, Melinda Harden (Brian) and Carley Coburn (boyfriend Andrew); 1 great granddaughter, Kylee, 3 great grandsons, Austin, Evan and DJ. He loved his family dearly.
A visitation for family and friends will be held, Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221.
Graveside services will be held, Friday, June 24, 2022 at 1:00pm at Jacksonville National cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32218 with US Army honors.

I always remember when your Dad would come in the shop. He was always very friendly and I think he had a awesome smile. He was a very kind man and I will be praying for you and your Mom ❤️🙏

What I remember most about Uncle Buddy was he was always so nice to us and him working on jukeboxes I remember we had a jukebox in the house when we were younger and he would come by sometime and change out the records this is Teresa Mishoe Doris and Billy’s daughter
