Joanna K Crickmore

November 08, 1959~July 17, 2022

Joanna “Kay” Crickmore, 62 of Jacksonville, FL went home to her Lord and Savior on 7/17/2022. Kay was born on 11/8/59 in Dayton, Ohio to Glenna Miller (mother) and (late) Ronald Reigelsperger Sr. (father). She met and married the love of her life, Ronald Crickmore, in 1980. Together they raised their three sons and niece. They truly set the golden standard for marriage and family.
One thing Kay was known for was her crafting skills. She made anything from matching dresses for her granddaughters to a nursery full of Ohio state decor, an impeccable seamstress!
Kay also had an unprecedented sense of humor. She loved to make her family and friends laugh. Even in her final days, she used the energy she had left to make all of us around her laugh. In the height of her own pain, she eased ours with her humor.
Her greatest pride in life was being a mother and “Mamaw”. She is survived by her 3 sons and niece as well as her 11 grandchildren and nephews. Her first son, Brian, his wife Janielle and their children Austin and Brooklyn. Second son Timothy, his wife Jennifer, and their children Kaylee, Breanna, Payton and Colson. Youngest son Bradley, his wife Samantha, and their children Ellie, Addy, Izzy, Ryan and Kylynn. Crystal, her husband Brad and their children (late) Devin, Douglas, Jordan and Gavin.
Kay spent her younger years working as a patient care tech, service dog trainer and she even ran her own thrift store. She traded the working life in to become a “Domestic Engineer”, raising her babies and being a home maker.
In the early 90s, she was diagnosed with MS, lupus and muscular dystrophy. Being the true fighter that she was, she let nothing stop her from being the best wife, mother and Mamaw. She spent much of her life suffering but ultimately lost it to pancreatic cancer which was diagnosed on 7/4/22. She spent her final days surrounded by those who love her and even got her dying wish to make one last trip to the beach. She gained her angel wings on 7/17/22 at 2:38pm, in her home with her husband Ron, sons Tim and Bradley, mother Glenna and daughter in law Jennifer by her side.
She is survived by those mentioned above as well as step father Walter Harrison, brother David, his wife Emily and their children. Sister Erica Horton, her husband Bradley and their children. Sister Tiffany Zumdick, her husband Evan and their child. She also leaves behind her companion and service dog Gracie.
She was preceded in death by her father Ron Sr, brother Ronnie Jr, sister Kim Stidham and nephew Devin Bradley.
Services for Joanna Kay Crickmore will be held at Fraser Funeral home on Saturday July 23, 2022 beginning with visitation at 10am followed by her Funeral at 11am. She will then be taken to her final resting place Gethsemane Memorial Garden. We encourage those attending to wear her favorite color, teal, if you feel so inclined.
