Wilbur K. Manning, Sr., 79, of Jacksonville, Florida formerly of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, died August 8, 2022 after a long illness.
He was born in Ezel, Kentucky, a son of the late William Valentine Manning and the late Stella Cole Manning and lived most of his life in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky until early this year when he moved to Florida.
He was the husband of Linda Parks Manning. He was a preacher of Pentecostal belief. He loved God and his family.
Wilbur enjoyed fishing, flea markets and taking Linda on long drives.
He was a former employee of Hobart Manufacturing and Grief Brother Unit. He retired at 70 years old.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, a daughter and son in law Wanda and Bob Ouelette, a son, Wilbur K. Manning, Jr., his granddaughter LaTasha Manning and her fiancé Mike Anderson and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, John and Herbert, his sisters, Georgia, Irene, Emmabelle, Ethel, Mabel and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date with a celebration of life. Everyone will be notified.
