Johnnie Sue Bradstreet, age 97, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023.

Sue was born in Lenoir City, Tennessee on May 18, 1926 and graduated from Lenoir City High School. She moved to Jacksonville in 1944 where she met her husband, Jim Bradstreet and they were married on November 11th, 1946.

Sue retired from Peninsular Insurance Company. She was an active member at Murray Hill Church, the Navy Wives Club, Lakeshore Woman’s Club, Riverside Garden Club, Republican Club and the Elvis Club. Her and Jim were involved with Campers on Mission.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Earl Bradstreet and Simon Smith, parents John and Bertha Cornett, brother Bob Cornett and sister Faye Jenkins. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Hancock, son’s, Larry Bradstreet, Mike (Gail) Bradstreet and Steve (Rhonda) Bradstreet, four grandchildren, Eric (Jen) Bradstreet, Jessica (Will) Gibson, Wayne (Casey) Bradstreet, Kristin (Sergio) Garcia, and four great grandchildren, Reagan and Eli Bradstreet, Sergio Robert and Carolina Garcia and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

The Visitation will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 1:00 PM with the Celebration of Life Service being held at 2:00 PM at Murray Hill Church, 4300 Post Street, Jacksonville, Florida with Pastor Doug Axtell officiating.

Love offerings in Sue’s honor may be made to Murray Hill Church and/or Haven Hospice Orange Park.

Mrs. Sue was a true Southern lady. She was more generous than anyone I have ever known. Sue is remembered by her family and community for her patriotism, philanthropy, zest for life, and kindness. She has gone on her trip. Rest high on that mountain Mrs. Sue.
