Gary Mitchell Graham, Sr. age 70, passed away, June 13, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family and friends. Gary, also known as “Big Pa”, was born on August 7, 1952 at St. Lukes Hospital to the parents of Leonard Bryant Graham and Vera Osteen Graham.
Gary went to Paxon Senior High School and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps because he loved his flag and country. After leaving the Marines Gary became a Truck Driver and Electric Motor Mechanic until his retirement. He was no stranger to hard work and he was known as the family mechanic. He was quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a love for classic country music, gospel music, western movies and watching football over a family gathering.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Bryant Graham, his mother, Vera Graham; his brothers, “Bubba”, Ervin, Wayne and Earl., His sisters, Maldine, Delores, Larue and Jenny, and to many others to list.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 42 years Dianne Marie Graham, whom he married om February 3, 1982. His children, Bryant Graham, Julie Pritchard, Shelton Graham (Darla), Gary Mitchell Graham, Jr. (Shannon), Joseph Graham, Eddie Graham (Brooke), a brother, “JR” Graham and a sister Shirline. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Collin, Lukas, Waylon, Brantley, Gavin, Savannah, Branson, Gracelyn, Allison and Branson B., his great grand-daughter, Olivia Rae and many nieces and nephews.
He was a devoted father and was the happiest in the presence of his family, in which he loved more than anything.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, June 23, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 with US Marine Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
