Albert Curtis Kidd, Jr.

Albert Curtis Kidd Jr. was born in Demopolis, Alabama on November 6, 1929. He was the firstborn son of A.C. Kidd Sr. and Mary Ray Kidd. At age 6 weeks old, the family returned to Jacksonville, Florida where he was a longtime resident and graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. Curtis spent 60 years in construction, building bridges from Savannah, Georgia down to the Florida Keys as well as building the foundation of the Vehicle Assembly Building and the launchpad of Kennedy Space Center.

Curtis walked through the gates of heaven on April 4th, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-seven years, Doris Burnett Kidd (2020), and his two sons Raymond Kidd (1968), and Benjamin Kidd Sr. (2021). He is survived by daughters Carol Kriete, Cathy Burkhardt, and Arlene Dros, son Richard Kidd Sr., twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
