Ricky C. Barrett, 66, passed away on February 4, 2023 peacefully at his home. He was born on August 10, 1956 in Jacksonville, the son of Charles G. Barrett, Sr. and Lily May Barrett Holliday.
After school he married his high school sweetheart, Kelly Barrett and they have celebrated 46 years of marriage. He pursued his career as a certified diesel mechanic at Sawyer Gas for 38 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and spent his Sundays at Jones Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles G. Barrett, Jr.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife Kelly Barrett is his son, Ricky Barrett, two grandchildren, Hunter Barrett and his wife Shana Barrett and Austin Barrett, one great grandchild, Brantley Barrett, one sister, Carrie and her husband Terry Brantley as well as many other family and friends.
A viewing will be held 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2023 and a Service of Remembrance at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the chapel at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32221 with burial at Nolan Ridge Cemetery to follow services.
