Dr. Donald G Miller, Jr. went home to be with the Lord, our Savior, January 2, 2023.

He is survived by his loving and treasured wife, Cindie Miller, his two sons, Robby and Justin (Jennifer). He has five adored grandsons, one cherished granddaughter, and one great grandson. Donald will also be remembered by his brother Robert (Joyce), his sister Peggy, and younger brother Carl (Sondra).

He was saved in 1982, experienced a call to the Christian ministry the same year and earned a degree in Biblical Studies from Luther Rice Seminary. He then went on to earn a Master of Theology degree and finally, a Doctor of Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002. He faithfully committed to serve in ministry positions and pastored two different churches in faithful service to further sharing the gospel of Christ in evangelism. He enjoyed square dancing and calling, being an advocate for the game of Chess in Jacksonville, FL and served as president of the Chess Club. He also dabbled in photography, surfing, and reading. His most favorite past-time was telling others about the life changing blood of a mighty God.

2 Timothy 1:12 – That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

Psalm 116 – 15) Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints. 16) O Lord, truly I am Your servant;
I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant;
You have loosed my bonds.

Pastor Donnie there are sooo many memories, Sunday dinner and naps at the homestead, Thanksgiving feeding of JSO zone 4 officers, our missionary to law enforcement commissions, the surprise birthday party (first party I’d ever had), attendance and lunch celebrating my graduation from Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy but I believe the greatest of these was my going away gifts. You gave me a very special book AND the only duty belt and holster that I ever carried. Thank you for all the tools, love, compassion, teaching and most of all prayers! I will miss your laugh
