Ann Elizabeth Edwards Lynch, 89, passed away February 9 2020 at Signature Health Care Center.
She was born on December 25, 1930 in Bethesda Maryland, to Edgar James Edwards and Edith Louise King Edwards. She married her Sailor Darrell Junior Lynch on August 18, 1950 in Washington DC
Ann lived a very active life! She was a Navy wife for 20 years. She was involved in many groups all through her adult life, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, school carnivals, Volunteering at school, church, Square Dancing, Red Hats Society, the Moose Lodge, and Moose Haven, where she helped Darrell with square dancing group called the Gay Nineties where the youngest person was 87 years old and the oldest in their 90’s. There were a million other things she did in her life time including a FULL TIME MOM to Pat and Donna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters, 5 brothers, her daughter Patricia Walker, and her son Donald Joseph Lynch.
She is survived by her sister Dorothy Buckler her brother Jerry Edward’s, her daughter Donna Porter, son in law Richard Walker, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all totally she met. There wasn’t anyone she ever turned away as Family or Friends. And everyone she met feel in love with her.
Memorial services will be held, Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 11:00am in Westside Baptist Church, Teachey Chapel with Rev. Ray Mayfield officiating. For Pam Towner – Friend Donna, we know how you took care of your mom (and she you prior) in these later years. She was a mother but best friend to you. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a dear, sweet, sweet lady. When we first met her it was if we’d known her all her life. Ann made one feel like we were part of her own family. Ann was a Very Loving Giving women. Our hope in Jesus is that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones. She is in the saviors loving arms now and is at peace. God Bless you Donna!
