Arva J. Andrews, formerly of Mt Dora Fl, went to her heavenly home Dec 8th, 2020. Born in Jacksonville Fl November 8, 1931 she was the daughter of Charles H. Snowball and Helen E. Snowball. Arva was raised and attended school in Jacksonville. She worked at a department prior to meeting Orlando J. Andrews. They began dating and were married in 1956. They shared 62 wonderful years together until Orlando’s passing in 2018. Arva and Orlando had one daughter, Janice Faye Andrews. In 1966 the family relocated to Mt Dora. Arva loved her family and raising her daughter. She enjoyed boating, fishing, and picnicking on the many lakes and rivers in central Florida. She loved to travel and vacation with her family at the ocean as well as local lakes. She also loved to visit the mountains of Georgia and Tennessee. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Mt. Dora and later Victory Baptist Church of Eustis. After her husband retired from a national grocery store company they purchased a private grocery in Howey and the Hills where they ran it together for 9 years. Arva is survived by her daughter, Janice A. Herndon, and Son-in -Law Terry Herndon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17 at 11:45 Am in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville Fl with Pastor Matt Andrews officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 45 minutes prior to service.
