Clifford Henry Cersey, age 92, passed away, February 29, 2020. Clifford was born on September 28, 1927 in Nashville, GA to the parents of Mannin A. and Lula Cersey. Clifford worker for the Smurfit and Stone Company for 42 years and was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Margie Cersey, a daughter, Anita Head; brothers’ Cleveland, Jowell, Fred, Clinton and Thomas Cerseyh; sisters’ Vera Burkhalter and Pauline Sirmons.
He is survived by his daughter Dusty Jean Cersey, sisters’ Dorothy Brown and Latrell Baggett and his grandsons, Michael Head, Thomas John McDonough and Dillon Garret David McDonough.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 2:00pm in Hillcrest Baptist Church, 9120 Crystal Springs Road, Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Pastor Gary Poplin officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Gardens Cemetery with US Army honors.
The family will receive friends at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 from 6:00 – 8:00pm Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
