Danny Carl Peacock, age 74, passed away November 15, 2020. Danny was born in Jacksonville, FL on December 24, 1945 to the parents of Elmer Carl and Faye Mattox Peacock. Danny was from Jacksonville, FL but spent a lot of his younger days working summers at the family farm outside of Blackshear, GA. Danny served in the Army during the Vietnam Veteran War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was in Company B 504 MPBN “Roadrunner”, a unit of the Military Police. In his younger days, Danny could be found out dancing, boating and later traveling in his “RV”. Later in life he preferred to be at home with his puppies, Dixie, Molly, Zoe and his cat, Sophie. He preferred to be on his tractor out back and loved to work on his truck. He looked out for his family and always showed up when you need help. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Carl and Faye Mattox Peacock, brother, David Peacock and a sister, Paula Huthinson. He is survived by his wife, Donna Peacock, his sons, Donald Carl Peacock (Denise Slack) and Larry Daniels, a daughter, Lori Daniels (Kevin); brother, Tommy Peacock and his grandchildren, Alexa, Alyssa and Diana Peacock, Jessica and Zachary Dick, and Amanda Daniels. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with U. S. Army Honors on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:30pm
