Dolores Smith Davidson, 87, of Jacksonville, FL peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 12, 1932 to Cassie and Floyd Smith. Dolores was married to Robert (Bob) C Davidson Sr. for 30 years before his passing in 2017. Dolores graduated from Lee High School and retired from the Duval County School Board. She loved country western dancing and was the choreographer for the Pappa’s Country Gold dance team. She also taught dance at the local college. Dolores and Bob enjoyed ballroom dancing, vacationed on over 80 cruises, and were active members of the German American Club/Ortega River Club for many years. Dolores is survived by her children Jody Weeks, John A Foyt(Robin), Michael Foyt(Tracy), and Richard Foyt(Sherry); grandchildren James Matthew Foyt, Ashley Foyt Wells(Seth), Hailee Marcum(Nick), Rachael Foyt Jenkins(William), John R Foyt, Camryn Foyt, and Robert Brock Foyt; great-grandchildren Bellamy Wells; and Bob’s children Kelly Davidson, Kitty Cupp(Brett), and Robert C Davidson, Jr.(Paige); his grandchildren Jillian Cupp and Damien Krat. Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Floyd C Smith.
