Edith B. Jarriel went to heaven on June 26, 2023. She was born August 20, 1926 in Portal, Georgia. She graduated from University of Georgia with a Teaching Degree and taught school in Collins, Georgia. In 1951, she married her husband John and they moved to Savannah, Georgia. In 1952, John got a job with IBM and they moved to Jacksonville. In Jacksonville she created a wonderful home and raised four children. She has been an active member of Murray Hill Church.
She is predeceased by husband of 62 years, John, oldest son Terry, grandson John Michael, Sister Frances Aaron. Her sister Christine Dunaway joined her in heaven the same day.
Survived by daughters Diane Jarriel, Brenda Zingaro (Joe), Sam Bryan (John), son Leslie (Stacey), granddaughters Gina Knight (Rex), Erin Millush (Sean), Sierra Jarriel, grandson Scott Jarriel (Julia), great grandsons Davis Leader, John Millush, Nathanael Knight and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves behind many special friends that show her lots of love. Special thanks to Dianne Walker and Olive Reeves.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy with family and friends may be shared at a gathering at Frasers Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00, Sunday, July 2nd, 8168 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida.
Graveside service will be Monday, July 3rd at 11:00 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Murray Hill Church. The family would like to thank Brookdale Avondale for wonderful care of her for the last two years of her life.
