Edith Hattabaugh, age 83, passed away, July 22, 2021. Edith was born on June22, 1938 in Gainesville, Florida to the parents of Lucious M. and Jewell Morgan. She was a member of South Middleburg Baptist Church and she retired from the Clay County School Board as a Custodian. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, working Jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carl Hattabaugh, her sisters; Barbara Morgan and Ola Johns, and a brother. Gordon Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Charles Johns, Sr., Carl Johns, Theresa Whitener (Steve), Shelton Johns and Terry Johns. She is also survived by three step children, Robert Hattabaugh (Terri Jo), David Hattabaugh and Sherry Saint, her brother, Ronnie Masters (Debbie) and a sister Kay Vanderstelt, and 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and another one on the way.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00am in South Middleburg Baptist Church, 4565 Alligator Blvd., Middleburg, Fl 32068 with Pastor Delton Kilpatrick officiating followed by interment in Padgett Cemetery at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
