Elaine went to be with the Lord after losing her battle with cancer on August 5th. She was a faithful Christian, a wonderful mother, and a devoted friend. Elaine was born on October 24, 1948 to Vivian Brantley Crews and Elvis Crews in Jacksonville, Fl. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University and went on to a very successful career as a CPA and federal administrative judge. She is the proud mother of Jennifer and Matthew, and the doting grandmother of Crews and Kelley. Elaine is also survived by her sister, Susan Roberts and family, and her nephew, William Engle and family.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Jacksonville Anglican located at 9917 103rd St, Jacksonville, FL 32244 at 1100 with a reception to follow. She asked that it be a celebration of her life and not a mournful event, for she is with her Lord and Savior and is praising His name in the heavenly choir.

Elaine had been a wonderful friend and fellow Christian. We sang together in the choir at Nativity and she was a mentor to me as I raised my own children. She was loved by many and an example of love to others. No doubt she is with God now in His heavenly kingdom.

I began work with the State of Florida, Auditor General, in October 1970. At that time, there was an employee named Elaine Crews, who later married a Navy man named Powell. Elaine worked with the AG about 2 years. This appears to be the same as the deceased. My regrets to the family.
