Henrietta Louise Dennard Holliday Mullis

May 18, 1939—April 10, 2023

Mrs. Mullis passed away peacefully in her home. She was surrounded by her daughters as she drew her last breath.

She was a strong woman who raised 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys.

She lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida with the exception of several years she lived in Florence, South Carolina.

She loved to go anywhere. Say let’s go and she was putting on her shoes. She enjoyed going to yard sales, bingo and karaoke at the VFW Post #7909 where she was well known. She liked going to game rooms and casinos too.

She visited California and the highlight of her travels was her trip to Japan and England where her oldest daughter and son in law were stationed with the US Navy. While in England she visited France, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and Italy.

She is survived by her children; Catherine Truxton (Keith), Robert Holliday II, Susan Holliday, Kenneth Holliday, Sr. and Bonnie Sebren (Larry), her sister, Elaine Dennard O’Steen (Steve), 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and one more on the way, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Harrison Dennard, Jr. and her mothers, Henrietta Romero Dennard and Ruth Dennard, her first husband of 32 years and the father of her 6 children, Robert Coleman Holliday I and her second husband, James Milo Mullis Sr., her son, Steven Dixon Holliday I and grandson Christopher Schultz, and her brothers Edward Dennard III and Jack Dennard.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Community Hospice organization. The value of their help to our family is immeasurable.
