It is with great sadness that we announce Jacqueline Lee Cay Cornatzer passed away peacefully with her husband, Richard, by her side in her home on October 23rd, 2020.
Jackie was born on November 9th, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was well known for her delicious southern cooking, her unique charm, and her love of Jesus and Elvis. She had a passion for both people and animals alike. She knew how to make those around her feel like family.
She was beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, C. Richard Cornatzer; her sisters: Bonnie Jarrett and Beverly Palmer; her 3 sons: Derek Lerner (Annie), Richard A. Cornatzer (Billiejean), and David Cornatzer (Vanessa); 5 grandchildren: Ashley Porter (Jason), Shawn Cornatzer, Mara Baxley, Angel Brooks, and Abigail Brooks; and 3 great-grandchildren, Addison Porter, Avery Porter, and Ella Porter.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Cay and Lillian Irene Mock Cay, and well as her brother, Phil Cay.
Jackie’s viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at Fraser Funeral Home from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. The graveside service will be on Tuesday, November 3rd at 2:30 pm at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Humane Society of the United States in her memory.
