Jerry Frank Gentile, age 81, passed away, March 16, 2023. Jerry was born on March 15, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida to the parents of Quincy and Evelyn Gentile.
Jerry was the owner and operator of A-1 Auto Electric Supply, a successful business for 23 years. He was a member of Promise Land Baptist for 15 years, a member of Connect group, a Sunday School Teacher, Believers and Caleb Class. He was also a Lay Preacher for various churches and ministries.
Jerry also enjoyed amateur radio, antique model A’s, electric powered air planes and drag racing.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, JoAnn Gentile, a son, Jerry Frank Gentile, Jr. (Debbie), a step-brother, Gerald Haddock (Connie), a step-sister, Delores Pope (John) and various nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 12:00 pm in Promise Land Baptist Church, 10343 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 with Rev. Steve Whitcomb officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

We are sadden to hear this news, we only just found this out today , our love and prayers are with you and your family. Jerry was an amazing friend to my father Ed Horton, now they can sit and talk again in Heaven

Joann, please know my heart felt sympathy is with you! My love, thoughts and prayers are with you. I know it’s hard! Some days seem harder at times than others. My Charlie sure loved your Jerry, and I can only imagine the rejoicing they are both doing in heaven now!

Condolences to all of Jerry’s loved ones. Peanut and I have fond memories of times at the drag races with him. He was always so faithful to share this love of the Lord with everyone. He will be missed.
