Kionte Devon Withers, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on April 30, 2021, at the age of 26. Kionte was born in Brunswick, Maine on January 30, 1995, to Kimberly Johnson and Leon Withers. Kionte grew up in Jacksonville with his Mother and younger brother Tyriq. As an older brother he was fiercely protective, and blazed a trail of living life to the fullest. Kionte served as a mentor, teacher, and supporter to help Tyriq establish a purpose. The unconditional love they shared was unbreakable, and was the backbone of their relationship. As a brother Kionte was there when you needed him most, picked you up when you fell, and stood up for you when no one else would. Kionte was a true guardian who now is our guardian angel. As a child he enjoyed playing soccer and basketball. He brought life, fun, and joy wherever he went. He began cultivating his love for videography and photography at a very young age. Kionte graduated from Baldwin Middle-Senior High school in 2013.
Kionte met Stephanie in December of 2016. She very quickly became his best friend and confidant. They bonded over a passion for art, and life. They made adventures out of every moment together. On the 8th of December 2017, they embarked on their most incredible adventure, as they welcomed their beautiful son, Royce, into the world . From that day on, Kionte and Royce were inseparable. Kionte was an incredible father, who loved his son more than anything in the world. Kionte was passionate about storytelling through the lens of his camera. He was a brilliant creative, who was always willing to share his ideas and work. Kionte had an eye for capturing the essence of love and joy in every moment. He insisted that memories should be cherished, and made it his goal to document the most beautiful parts of life. Kionte is survived by his son, (Royce Isaiah Alexander Withers), his fiancé (Stephanie Vallejo), his brother (Tyriq Withers), his mother (Kimberly Johnson), his sister (Cayla Withers), his father (Leon Withers), his grandfather (Walter Hart), his grandmother (Delores Withers), and his grandfather (Leon Withers) and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Many Cherished Friends.

To my friend Kionte, I have so so many words for you that I cant even put together. Till this day you weigh heavy on my heart. I remember when I first met you at Baldwin, you stood out like a sore thumb. Tall lightskin guy, who had eyes that could see through the toughest of personalities even though you were a goofy kid but optimistic & earnest person at heart. And my guy tyriq, you remember how I always used to say he looked like a model Look at him now! Ive been at Baldwin since 6th grade & seen a lot of people come & go.. but after meeting you I knew, wed be homies for life. Ill always cherish the memories we have & had, and all the wild & stupid times we had after highschool. From going from having a double date together to prom, to us fooling around washing our cars together after our highschool days. Ill miss those little things, even the times wed just link up just to be glutinous at some fast food joint just because. I still got our text thread from day one when we first met, & itll always hit me in the feels. All in all I love you, may you watch over us & your family & watch us grow along with this long but thrilling road we call life. Im down & out at the moment but Ill for sure bounce back and be the guy youll always remember. Youll always be on my mind, rest well brodie. Till we meet again
