Larry Laverne Taylor, age 69, passed away January 17, 2021. Larry was born in Alma, GA on December 17, 1951 to the parents of Ira L. and Thelma E. Taylor. Larry moved to Florida 65 years ago and served in United States Army, was a Journeyman Electrician for over 40 years, a member of ISMA, International Signal Mechanics Association, a Little League Baseball and Basketball Coach and a Pop Warner Football coach for over 35 years with many championship wins, and a lifetime member of The Moose. Larry loved spending time with his family and friends, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and loved all sports. He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 45 ½ years Bertha “Dale” Taylor, his Mother, Thelma Leeper (Leonard Marrow), a son, Larry M. Taylor, a daughter, Maryann Taylor, sisters; Linda McGee (Mike) and Glenda Taylor; and his six grandchildren, Brittany Taylor, Kaylee Taylor, Blake Daughtry, Clayton Taylor, Annaleigh Taylor and Bailey Presley, and his two great grandchildren, Remi Hall and Lia m Floyd. Funeral services will be held, Friday, January 22, 2021 at 3PM in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Tim Hall officiating followed by interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:00pm with US Army Honors. The family will receive friends at Fraser Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00pm

Larry hired me at TCD. He was an honorable man and I enjoyed talking with him. He kept his word and he will be missed. My sincerest condolences to your family.
