Laura Marie Spencer, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2020. She was born December 9, 1927, in Tampa, Florida to Harold and Viola Conley. Laura was married to Robert Eugene Spencer, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her eldest son, Robert L. Spencer. Laura was well loved by all of her family and we are grateful to know we will see her again one day in Heaven, as she had trusted in Jesus’ payment on the cross. Jesus said, “He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” God’s word also states, “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Laura held a degree in commercial art and was noted for her artistic ability and many beautiful paintings. She enjoyed being with the ladies in her TLC Sunday school class at Trinity Baptist Church, in Jacksonville, Florida. She also enjoyed spending time with her special friends, Ray and Erica, as well as others. Laura is survived by her sisters, Barbara (Bill) Temby, Sue Lyon; daughters, Teresa (Paul) Haney, Sharlene (Dean) Ruland; son David (Melody) Spencer; grandchildren, Rachel (Ron) Lewis, Jonathan (Ashley) Haney, Stephen (Amy) Haney, Matthew (Aleata) Ruland, Daniel Ruland, Christina (Chris) Braun, Robert (Amber) Spencer, Sarah (Allan) Abrams, Savannah (Adrian) Cedeño, and Jackson (Allee) Spencer; as well as sixteen great-grandchildren.
