Mabel Copeland Williamson, age 92 departed to her heavenly home on December 30, 2021. She was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and was of the Baptist faith. As a young woman she was proud business woman working for the Welfare Board then the Juvenile Court System before becoming a full time mom and housewife. While raising their girls she was a member of the PTA, Band Parents and of course taxi-mom in her GTO! Over the years she had many crafting hobbies, but her true loves were fishing, dove hunting, gardening and camping. Her favorite vacation destination was the Blue Ridge Mountains. She always said, “It’s God’s Country!”
She is survived by her sister Elaine Copeland Spaulding, daughters, Katherine Mooneyhan (Henry) and Paula Shelton (Tommy). Grandchildren, Kenneth Mooneyhan, Kelly Stone (Jamie), Kevin Mooneyhan, Katie Walker (Travis) and T.K. Shelton (Rachel Anderson). Great Grandchildren, Devon Stidham, Tyler Robertson, Mackenzie and Kyleigh Stone, Taylor and Katelyn Walker, Austin, Madison and Dalton Anderson.
Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery with Henry Mooneyhan officiating.
