Mary Jane Johnson, 72, of Jacksonville, Florida left this earth on October 3, 2021 to enter her home in Heaven.

Mary Jane was born on October 20, 1948 to the late Bill and Rena Morehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. She married Ron Johnson on May 31, 1969 and they have shared a beautiful life together for the last 52 years.

Mary Jane was a loving wife, devoted mother and a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a long-time faithful member of Promise Land Baptist Church where she served in multiple capacities and took great joy in serving and encouraging others. Mary Jane loved to write, travel, cook, garden and teach others about Jesus. She spent many years teaching children in Sunday School, teaching bible studies, and mentoring women in the church. She traveled on mission trips and gave her time to help others around the world to show them the love of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Ron; son, Wayne Johnson (Tasha) of Jacksonville; daughters Tracee Jones (John) of Fernandina Beach and Marcia Crawley (Steve DeGregorio) of St. Petersburg; grandchildren Morgan Geddings (Matt), Zachary DeGregorio, Abigail Degregorio, Peyton Johnson, Emily Degregorio, Maddie Johnson, Ariell Padgett, Kailen Padgett and Reagan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Geddings and Savannah Geddings; brother Herbert Morehouse of Gainesville; sister Shirley Morehouse of Jacksonville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Promise Land Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Pastor Steve Whitcomb officiating. Family will receive friends at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
