Mildred (Millie) Landsfeld White, 96, born in Stamford, Connecticut, Dec. 10, 1924 and was called to her heavenly home on April 13, 2021.
During World War II she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter”. She met Elbert H. White, Sr. on a double date and they married July 3, 1948. They spent 64 years together until her husband was called home to the Lord. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their children. She is survived by her three children, Jannette White Tanner (Jerry), Elbert H. White, Jr. (Linda), and Linda White Wilcoxen (Kevin), as well as her grandchildren, David White (Shannon), Timothy White, Andrew White (Macy Van Cleave), Susan Greenway-Vice (Joey), Alexander Wilcoxen, Matthew Tanner, Mary Dawson Elmore (Hank), and Evan Tanner, and her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn White, Zachary White, Lauren White, Abigail Louise Elmore, Arthur Cash Elmore, Nathan Tanner, and Spencer Tanner.
She enjoyed being a member of Southside Baptist Church of Lake City and Good Sam’s RV Camping Club.
Public viewing and service will be held Monday, April 19, 2021. Viewing will begin at 1:30 PM with the funeral service at 2:00 PM at FRASER FUNERAL HOME, 8168 Normandy Boulevard (904-781-4314) with Pastor Ralph Estevez officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
