Nancy Anne (Brobst)Shurling
Born to Adrian E Steppacher Brobst (deceased 1983) and Raymond Brobst (deceased 1949) on November 25,1933 in Philadelphia, PA. Nancy met the love of her life, James (Jimmy) Q Shurling, (deceased 1992) while he was serving in the Navy and stationed near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, they married 6 months later on October 1, 1955. Soon after marriage they moved to Jacksonville Florida due to the Navy and moved 2 other times, once to Memphis, TN and once to Pensacola, FL but returning to Jacksonville for the next 63 years.
Nancy worked for the DCPS at Normandy Elementary as a Bookkeeper/Secretary, she retired with over 30 years of service. She loved her job, her team and all of the children that attended Normandy Elementary.

She loved to travel whether it was by bus, car or train and loved cruises. She was the Queen of a Red Hat Group and loved going to the Alhambra Dinner Theatre with her friends. She painted beautiful pictures and was always doing crossword puzzles and in her 70’s and 80’s loved her I-phone and playing Trivia Crack with all her friends.

Nancy is survived by her brother
John Brobst (Barbara), her older brother Richard Brobst is deceased.
She is also survived by her children, Susan Larsh (Hank), James Q Shurling, Jr (Melanie), Deborah Goyette (Todd), Cindy Shurling, deceased, Grandchildren – Bobby (Tami), Ashley (Moses), Timothy (Kristen), Brittany, Jennifer (Clyde), Kristina (Dallas), Taylor (Garrett), Alexis (Bryce), Tiffany and Brian,
17 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
