Norman Bridgeman Baity, Sr., 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was born on September 11, 1933, in Washington, D.C. to Charles and Elsie Baity. Always known as someone who lived life to the fullest, his greatest loves were Jesus, his family and friends, his church, and anything to do with

He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 40 years, and his children Edna Rodgers, James Baity (Jennie), Norman Baity, Jr., Joshua Baity, Tiffany Baity Rothery, and two step-children he loved as his own, Valerie Ahern (John), and Gregory Straub (Leah). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Sharon, preceded him in death.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32221. The family will receive friends at Fraser Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Norman always had a smile and something positive to say every time I saw him. He was so funny and kind and truly loved people. I am very thankful for all of the time he spent serving others at the church and refereeing games. He will be missed! Candie and Chuck Fry
