Patricia Ann Cyrus

July 17, 1940~May 20, 2023

Patricia “Pat” Ann Cyrus, 82, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on May 20, 2023. Pat was born July 17, 1940, to Bluford Ramsey & Myrtle Virginia Jefferson in Lynchburg, VA.
She was predeceased by husband Robert “Harold” Cyrus, her parents, and sisters Carole Vinoskey and Brenda Rogers.

Pat has been a faithful member of Murray Hill Baptist Church for over forty-five years. Having a servant’s heart, she was always so very generous to all around her; and always made the comment “To God be the Glory”.

Pat served as an Ordained Deacon and was also a greeter at her church and was always in her place each Sunday with a smile on her face. Her heart was attentive to the shut-ins and ministered to them by calls or sending cards.

Another special ministry of hers was owning Flowers by Pat on Edgewood Avenue. The floral arrangements reached the Jacksonville community by bringing joy, comfort, and celebrations to
so many. Her love for flowers began when she was a little girl growing up in Virginia and dreamed of owning her own shop which she did for over thirty years.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Steve) Bradstreet, son, Gary (Paige) Cyrus, four grandchildren, Wayne (Casey) Bradstreet, Bryan (Elizabeth) Cyrus, Kristin (Sergio) Garcia,
Ashley (Darrell) Washington, and four great grandchildren, Sergio and Carolina Garcia, and Lucas and Sadie Cyrus, brother-in-law, Adam Vinoskey, and other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24th, at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, May 25th, at 10:00
a.m., at Murray Hill Church, 4300 Post Street, Jacksonville, FL, with Pastor Doug Axtell officiating

My fondest memory of Mama Pat when I was a child was spending the night at her house when I was in 5th grade as we helped her prepare the food for the mother daughter tea the next day. As an adult I remember being in awe as I stood in the same room as her as the women’s leader for my church for the Billy Graham crusade. She loved her Lord and it showed in the impact she had on the lives of everyone she met.

Rhonda and Family. My deepest condolences to your family. Pat was one of the most amazing women I knew. She always took care of everyone else. Over the past few years I have had the pleasure of really getting to know this sweet, Godly women. She was such an inspiration to me. I always knew if I needed anything I could just call her. I will specially miss our weekly talks that we had. Pat was such an amazing person. My heart is hurting that she is gone but I know she is in Heaven leading everyone that past before her. May you rest in peace my dear sweet friend.

I used to date her grandson Wayne. He was my first boyfriend and we all wanted to go out on a date. And she let us volunteer in her flower shop to earn money to go out. That was a great experience. Rest in peace 🙏
