On February 11, 2021, Steven (Stevie) Thigpen, Jr passed away at the age of 39. Stevie was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 23, 1981 to Sharon Dobbs and Steve Thigpen, Sr. He was the owner of Thigpen Variety Door Systems. He married Carey Phillips Thigpen and they created a family with her three children, and later had a daughter born to them. Stevie enjoyed fishing and working on his multiple project vehicles. He had a passion for motorcycles and boats. He was the chaplain of the NOLO Motorcycle Club and enjoyed going on rides with the club. He played guitar in the praise band at Promise Land Baptist Church. He was known for being a loyal friend that would do anything he could to help others. Stevie is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Dobbs, his maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Joyce Dobbs, and his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Betty Thigpen. He is survived by his wife, Carey, his daughter, Destinee, three stepchildren, Jacob, Kristin, and Ethan, his father Steve Thigpen, Sr (Tina), seven brothers and one sister, plus multiple cousins, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Promise Land Baptist Church at 1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow immediately afterwards at 2:00pm.
